Full-Time Sales Development Program

Launch your sales career with CoStar Group’s Sales Development Program. This full-time role begins with three weeks of training in Richmond, VA, where you’ll build a strong foundation in sales. From there, you’ll join one of our leading brands—Apartments.com, Homes.com, LoopNet, or CoStar (CRE)—for hands-on experience, brand-specific training, and ongoing skills development alongside your cohort.

Get hands-on sales experience through our 10-week internship with industry-leading brands. You’ll work with sales teams on residential, commercial, and multifamily real estate initiatives and gain professional development training. High-performing interns may be considered for a full-time role in the Sales Development Program in 2027.

Sales Development Program FAQs


    • The Sales Development Program is CoStar Group’s premier training & development program for aspiring sales professionals. It is designed to build strong sales fundamentals from day one and equip you with the sales & professional development skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience to set you up for long-term success in a sales career.
    • You will gain industry knowledge, master core selling skills and gain exposure to our industry-leading brands like Apartments.com, Homes.com, LoopNet, & CoStar. At the conclusion of the program, you will be a confident, career-ready sales professional equipped with the skills, mindset, and muscle memory to win new business, grow existing accounts, and deliver exceptional client service—fully aligned with CoStar Group’s philosophy of selling and servicing
    • In 2026, we will host two cohorts for full-time Sales Associates – February and July.
    • Sales Associates: December 2025 or May 2026 grads pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited, in-person college or university and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above.
    • Your 43-week program consists of:
      • The Sales Development Program onboarding experience is a dynamic, three-week journey designed to immerse new hires in CoStar Group’s culture, customers, and sales philosophy. Through hands-on training, shadowing rotations, guest speakers, and interactive workshops, participants build foundational skills, explore real-world commercial and residential real estate scenarios, and prepare to thrive in a high-performance sales environment anchored in service and impact.  
    • Remaining 40 weeks:  
      • Placed in one of four brands to attain brand-specific experience: CoStar, LoopNet, Apartments.com and Homes.com (not a rotational program)  
      • Receive both on-the-job training and brand specific sales and development training  
      • Rejoin your Sales Development Program cohort 3 more times over the 40 weeks for additional sales skills training and networking   
    • On the Job:  
      • Sales Support: Learn the concepts of sales by assisting the team in prospecting, servicing and market research.   
      • Client Engagement: Collaborate with sales professionals to understand client needs and participate in meetings and market events to learn our industry and sales process.   
      • Market Research: Research industry trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities to inform sales strategies.   
      • Sales Operations: Help organize sales materials, manage Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and track sales performance.   
    • While the Sales Development Program will take your preferences into consideration during the brand assignment process, ultimately the brand assignment will be determined by the needs of the business and you will be sorted into one of our industry-leading marketplaces: Apartments.com, Homes.com, LoopNet, or CoStar.

    • Yes, relocation assistance can be offered to you, dependent on a number of factors, including the distance that you would need to relocate from to your assigned work location.

      • The CoStar Group Sales Internship is a hands-on, high-impact experience designed to give you a real-world look at what it takes to succeed in sales at a leading tech company in commercial, residential & multifamily real estate and digital marketplaces. You’ll gain exposure to our brands, learn core sales skills, work on meaningful projects, and connect with mentors and leaders. It’s fast-paced, supportive, and a great launchpad for a full-time career at CoStar Group. At the conclusion of the internship, you may be considered for a spot in the full-time Sales Development Program in 2027.
      • Current college students pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation of December 2026 or May 2027 and a cumulative GPA of 3.2 & above with strong sales, real estate and/or business development interest.
      • This is a 10-week immersive summer program from June to August.
        • Sales Skills & Professional Development, Knowledge Sharing and Networking Opportunities.
        • Orientation & Training: Learn the foundations of the company with interns from across CoStar Group while having the opportunity to socialize and engage with leadership during the first week and throughout the program.
        • Brand Exposure: Gain knowledge of CoStar Group’s products and services, and how they impact the residential, commercial & multi-family real estate markets.
        • Executive Speaker Series: Hear from leaders in HR, Tech, Sales, Global Research & more.
        • Social Events and networking opportunities with other interns across the company & CoStar Group leaders.
      • Primarily based in Richmond, VA, with alternate locations such as Dallas, Chicago, Arlington, VA, Atlanta & Denver as available.
      • The Ultimate goal of CoStar Group Internships is to provide a mutually beneficial relationship that yields as many interns converting to full-time as possible, dependent on performance and business needs.
