CoStar recently expanded its award-winning news team, welcoming several experienced business journalists located across the US and in key international locations. The expansion is part of a major initiative to enhance CoStar’s role as the industry’s leading source of commercial real estate information and data, building on its already established reputation as a trusted, insightful news resource for commercial real estate.
Ultimately, nearly 40 journalists will come on board to help thoroughly cover key markets and sectors, each bringing in-depth knowledge, understanding and connections in his or her particular market in order to investigate and report on transactions, trends and developments.
The expanded “dream team” of reporters already includes veterans from The LA Business Journal, The Denver Business Journal, Bisnow, The San Diego Business Journal, National Real Estate Investor, The Financial Post, and Real Estate Alert. The team will be supported by a full-fledged news bureau operation including copy editors, managing editors, and digital and graphic designers.
Reporters will focus on delivering local, national and international articles and features spanning building transactions and construction; industry events; commercial real estate leaders and influencers; economic trends; and communities. Their mission is to deliver news and insights that brokers, owners, investors, property managers, banks, appraisers, economic developers, architects, state agencies, businesses, retailers and fund managers can use to follow the market and inform their decisions.
They’ll also deliver investor-focused content across retail, multifamily, office, industrial, hospitality, shopping center, architecture and design, rural land, finance, REIT, and technology sectors.
The news team will span the country, with reporters and analysts covering top markets including Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, San Diego, Denver, South Florida, Boston, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Houston, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Chicago and Seattle. International reporters will cover the top markets across the UK, Germany, Canada and Spain.
