BETHESDA, MD -- CoStar Group (Nasdaq: CSGP) announced today that Laurie B. Corn, publisher of leading industry publication Commercial Property News, joins CoStar's management team as Vice President of Sales for Electronic Media.

"At Commercial Property News, Laurie demonstrated an outstanding ability to achieve record revenue growth and establish dominant market share for the premier industry magazine," said CoStar CEO Andrew C. Florance. "We believe Laurie's extensive experience with major national advertisers in commercial real estate will be beneficial as she expands CoStar's existing advertising activities."

Laurie will oversee the advertising sales in CoStar Marketplace™. Corn's hiring is the latest step by CoStar to leverage new tools and existing content to create value-added marketing opportunities for its clients. In April, CoStar announced the hiring of former Commercial Property News editor, publisher and industry insider, Mark Klionsky as CoStar's Senior Vice President of Electronic Media. Klionsky and Corn will work together to build the Electronic Media Division and to promote online advertising in CoStar Marketplace™.

"Real estate professionals are looking for ways to market their properties and services online. Mark and Laurie will provide guidance to our customers to show them how CoStar can help them capitalize on online opportunities. Given that CoStar's products are used by thousands of commercial real estate professionals, it makes sense to tap into such an attractive marketplace and allow our customers to market properties and services to this targeted audience while simultaneously generating advertising revenue for CoStar," said Florance.

Corn joins CoStar Group after 13 years in business-to-business advertising sales. She had been at Commercial Property News since December of 1994 where she moved from sales manager, overseeing a territory and a sales team, to associate publisher in December 1998 to publisher just one month later. During her tenure, Commercial Property News experienced record revenue growth and achieved dominant market share and dramatically increased print product offerings. Under her leadership as publisher, Commercial Property News became the real estate industry's premier news magazine.

Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, CoStar Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: CSGP), is the leading provider of information services to the U.S. commercial real estate industry.
